Exit Q's and A's
What have you learned about Photography that you did not know before?
I learned that taking pictures that arent crisp are also beautiful, about all the different kinds of photographers out there, and a variety of techniques to try later on. I absolutely love learning about different perspectives from the lens, so for me it was exciting to see how my pictures would turn out. It was a great opportunity to take this class because photography is one of my favorite hobbies.
What did you learn about yourself this semester?
I impressed myself with the photos I took, and realized that I am capable of taking a really great picture. I also found out that I would spend my saved car money for a camera I now have. :) Even though I might have not turned in assignments on time, I still am absolutely in love with taking pictures and learning everything about it.
What do you wish you could have done that we did not?
I wish we had done some work with video as well, but it would take up some time. I would of loved to learn about editing lighting or other things in a video. I really liked how we worked with the older form of processing photos though because it made me understand the pictures in history class more too!
What was your struggle?
My struggle would probably be editing and uploading to my blog because I had a hard time understanding and everyone was moving on already. I ended up falling behind and I still couldnt understand Photoshop that well. I ended up Google-ing it. I think it was because of where I chose to sit, with the combo of lack of intelligence with Photoshop. Oh well though, I'm glad we had the variety of projects that we did.
What did you conquer?
I finished this class with a smile because I don't regret taking it at all. Learning background information about a subject you love makes it worth all the while. I loved editing and making things appear to be real. I'll take the information I got to use it in the future with possibly a future job, kids, or pets. :)

Light Photos
Taking photos with a direct source of light is my favorite way to take pictures because it gives the picture a mysterious look. With that specific look, it changes the entire mood of the photo. In the ones I took, I tried to keep it simple by not putting a lot of distractions in the background. By doing this, I hoped to give more purpose to the subject that grabs your attention. I thought I did an okay job catching shadows, but I struggled with finding a good angle. The sun was the the one who helped me out most in this assignment, possibly around late afternoon with most photos. I do have ones with a lamp, but I chose to put these up because I liked them best. For me, I loove crisp photos and with the ones mainly above, I tried to get as much detail as I could. The people I took pictures of were not really into what I was doing which was perfect because I was limited to the amount of cliche, smile pictures. I got to experiment a lot with angles and important spots to make the subject of the entire photo. I was pleased to see that the pictures look classy in B&W.
